Tajikistan is considering importing petroleum products from China as the two countries explore closer energy cooperation.

The issue was discussed during a meeting between Tajik Minister of Energy and Water Resources Daler Juma and Chinese Ambassador to Tajikistan Guo Zhijun, The Caspian Post reports, citing the ministry.

The talks focused on current issues of bilateral cooperation and identified priority areas for further collaboration.

Particular attention was given to the potential import of petroleum products from China to Tajikistan.

The two sides also discussed expanding trade and economic cooperation in the energy sector and explored ways to further strengthen mutually beneficial relations.
