Estonia Relocates Ambassador from Tbilisi to Yerevan

Estonia is relocating its ambassador, Margus Mardisalu-Kahar, from Tbilisi to Yerevan and concluding her mission in Georgia.

This move comes amid deteriorating relations with the Georgian government and a push to strengthen ties with Armenia, where Estonia will open an embassy in March, The Caspian Post reports, citing local media.

The reason for this shift is the deterioration of relations between Estonia and the Georgian government, while simultaneously strengthening contacts with Armenia.

Estonian Ambassador to Georgia, Margus Mardisalu-Kahar, will conclude her mission in Tbilisi on March 10.
