Police in Georgia’s Adjara region have detained two suspects wanted by Turkish authorities.

According to Georgia's Interior Ministry, the two individuals are accused of the illegal acquisition, possession, and carrying of firearms and ammunition as part of a group, as well as illegally crossing the state border, The Caspian Post reports, citing Georgia Online.

During a personal search and a search of the suspects’ temporary residence, law enforcement officers discovered and seized two pistols, three magazines, and 129 rounds of ammunition.

If convicted, the detainees could face up to 11 years in prison.
