Georgian Interior Minister Geka Geladze has met with Yaşar Kadıoğlu, Lieutenant General of the Turkish Air Force, as part of ongoing cooperation in the investigation of a recent military aircraft crash.
Kadıoğlu led the Turkish delegation arriving in Georgia to assist with the probe. The delegation has been working alongside Georgian officials in search-and-rescue operations and investigative activities at the crash site, The Caspian Post informs via local media.
Present at the meeting were First Deputy Interior Minister Roni Meskhia, Head of the Emergency Management Service Temur Mghebrishvili, Turkish Ambassador to Georgia Ali Kaan Orbay, and other representatives of the Turkish Embassy.
The cooperation follows the tragic crash on November 11, when a Turkish Air Force C-130 military transport plane en route from Azerbaijan to Türkiye went down on Georgian territory, killing all 20 service members on board. Authorities from both countries continue investigating the cause of the accident.
