Russia significantly increased its imports of Georgian wine in June, with purchases rising by more than a quarter compared with the previous month.

Russia imported $13.9 million worth of Georgian wine in June, up from $10.9 million in May, The Caspian Post reports via Sputnik Georgia.

The value of Georgian wine imports into Russia jumped 27% month-on-month, reaching the highest level since December 2025.

The latest figures underline Russia’s continued importance as the largest overseas market for Georgian wine.

Russia retained its position as Georgia’s biggest wine importer in June, well ahead of other major markets.

Poland ranked second with $1.5 million worth of Georgian wine imports, followed by Ukraine with $1.3 million.
