Azerbaijan Pulls Citizens Out of Iran Amid Escalation

Seven citizens of Azerbaijan have been evacuated from Iran, following military strikes by the United States and Israel.

The evacuation took placeon February 28 between 08:00 and 20:00 (GMT+3:30), as tensions in the region escalated, The Caspian Post reports via local media.

On the morning of February 28, Israel and the U.S. jointly struck targets in Iran, prompting Iran to launch missiles at Israel and attack four U.S. military bases in the Persian Gulf. In response to the rising conflict, several regional countries temporarily closed their airspace.
