China has confirmed that at least one of its citizens was killed in Tehran, Iran amid escalating violence in the Middle East, prompting calls for an immediate ceasefire and renewed diplomatic efforts.
At a press briefing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning emphasized that the “most urgent priority is to halt military operations and prevent the conflict from spreading further”, The Caspian Post reports via foreign media.
She urged all sides involved to seek a peaceful resolution through dialogue and negotiation, highlighting China’s commitment to protecting its citizens abroad while promoting stability in the region.
