Iran’s Armed Forces say they carried out major strikes against U.S. military and naval targets across the Persian Gulf as part of the latest phase of a large-scale military operation.

The Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters announced that the seventh and eighth waves of Operation “True Promise 4” were “successfully executed” using coordinated missile barrages and large-scale drone deployments, The Caspian Post reports via Iranian media.

Iran Claims Attacks on US Carrier and Regional Bases

According to the statement, the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln was targeted by four cruise missiles, forcing it to leave its mission area in the southeastern Indian Ocean.

Iranian officials also claimed that the U.S. Ali Al Salem base in Kuwait was rendered fully inoperable, while three naval infrastructure facilities in Kuwait - identified as Mohammed Al-Ahmad installations - were destroyed.

In Bahrain, Iran said four drones struck a U.S. naval base at Salman Port, causing “significant damage” to command and support centers. Two ballistic missiles were also reportedly launched at American military facilities in the country.

Tankers Hit, Fires Reported

The statement further alleged that three U.S. and British oil tankers operating in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz were hit by missiles and caught fire during the attacks.

Iran’s military command claimed that successive strikes across regional bases resulted in 560 U.S. personnel killed or wounded - figures that have not been independently verified.

Air Force Operations Across the Region

Iran also said that its Air Force conducted multi-stage operations targeting American bases in Gulf countries and Iraq’s Kurdistan region hours earlier.

No immediate confirmation or response from U.S. officials has been reported, and many of the claims remain unverified.
