IndiGo has cancelled its scheduled flights on January 25 between Delhi and Tbilisi and between Mumbai and Almaty, along with their return journeys, citing escalating regional tensions surrounding Iran as the reason for the suspensions, The Caspian Post reports, citing The Times of India.

Air India has stopped routing its Europe-bound flights over Iranian airspace after advisory warnings, and will review the situation once flights resume following disruptions caused by a snowstorm on the U.S. east coast.

IndiGo said it had cancelled its flights to Tbilisi, Almaty, Tashkent and Baku until January 28, 2026, as a precautionary measure to ensure passenger and crew safety amid growing instability in the region.

Air India had been using the safer eastern parts of Iranian airspace for its North American routes but has halted that practice temporarily while monitoring the evolving situation.
