Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has confirmed that Intelligence Minister Esmaeil Khatib was killed in an Israeli strike.
In a statement posted on X, Pezeshkian described the attack as a “cowardly assassination,” condemning the killing of one of Iran’s top security figures, The Caspian Post reports.
On Tuesday, Iran confirmed that Ali Larijani, the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, was killed in an Israeli strike.
In a statement, Iran’s Supreme National Security Council said Larijani was killed in the attack along with his son, his aide Reza Bayat and several of his companions.
