Iran proposed to Tajikistan to create a common currency for the region.
The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, put forward the initiative during a meeting with the Minister of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan, Ramazon Rahimzoda, in Tehran, The Caspian Post reports citing Telegram channel of Sputnik Tajikistan.
"This will contribute to the economic development of the entire region," said the Iranian leader.
The two sides also discussed the creation of an organization to expand cooperation between entrepreneurs from both countries.
