Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has criticized France’s position toward Tehran during a meeting with his French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Araghchi described France’s position on the US-Israeli attacks against Iran as “absolutely unacceptable” and accused France and the European Union of applying double standards on human rights, according to Iran International.

“France cannot claim to care about human rights while remaining silent over the killing of Iranian women and children,” Araghchi said.
