Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization has announced the cancellation of flights from Tehran to Baghdad and Muscat, Oman, starting early Wednesday.

Organization spokesperson Majid Akhavan said that Baghdad and Muscat airports would stop accepting Iranian flights from midnight local time, The Caspian Post reports, citing Tasnim news agency.

As a result, authorities are coordinating arrangements for flights originally bound for Baghdad to be redirected to Najaf airport, he noted.

Akhavan added that other international services, including flights to Istanbul, would continue operating according to schedule, with no disruptions reported.
