Iran’s New Supreme Leader Alive and Well After Injuries

Yousef Pezeshkian, an adviser to the Iranian government and son of President Masoud Pezeshkian, has said that Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, is alive and well despite reports that he was wounded during recent hostilities.

Writing on his Telegram channel, Yousef Pezeshkian said he had heard reports claiming that Mojtaba Khamenei had been injured, The Caspian Post reports via Pezeshkian's message.

After contacting several acquaintances with relevant connections, he said he was reassured about the leader’s condition.

“I heard the news that Mr. Mojtaba Khamenei had been wounded. I asked several friends who have connections. They told me that, thank God, he is healthy and everything is fine,” Pezeshkian wrote.
