Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has described the ongoing protests in the country as justified.

He made the remarks during a meeting with families of those killed in the 12-day war with Israel, The Caspian Post reports via Turkish media.

“Entrepreneurs are right when they say they cannot operate under these conditions. Government officials acknowledge this, and I know the president and other senior leaders are working to solve the problem,” Khamenei said.

He also warned that some forces are spreading false claims in an attempt to impose their agenda on the country, officials, or the people.

“Every person must firmly oppose this; we will not bow to the enemy,” the supreme leader added.
