Russian President Vladimir Putin's special envoy is set to meet with the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council on Monday afternoon.
Russian Special Representative for Syria is in Tehran and is scheduled to meet with Iranian foreign officials, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei told his presser on Monday, The Caspian Post reports citing foreign media.
Putin's special envoy will meet with the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council on Monday afternoon, Baghaei said.
These contacts are part of cooperation and consultations between the two countries in various fields, the Iranian senior diplomat said.
Larijani, who also serves as an adviser to the Leader, traveled to Russia on Thursday morning.
During this visit, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran Ali Larijani handed over a message from the Leader of the Islamic Revolution to the Russian President in a meeting in Moscow.
The two sides discussed a range of issues, including bilateral relations, economic cooperation, regional developments, and international affairs.
Last week, Putin said that Israeli authorities have asked him to deliver a message to Iran that they are not seeking further confrontation with Iran and wish to ease tensions.
