Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei has stated that an interim agreement could potentially be signed by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and his US counterpart Donald Trump.
He noted that the proposal is still under review, The Caspian Post reports, citing Al Jazeera.
“This idea is proposed and is still under consideration,” Baghaei said.
He also emphasized that there has been no change in Iran’s plans to attend the official signing ceremony scheduled for Friday in Switzerland.
According to previous statements from Tehran, the United States and Iran were expected to be represented at the ceremony by U.S. Vice President JD Vance on one side, and Iranian parliament speaker and chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf on the other.
