The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has concluded that Iran still retains around 70% of its ballistic missile arsenal despite US airstrikes and bombing campaigns, according to informed sources, The Caspian Post reports, citing The Washington Post.

Three sources familiar with a classified CIA assessment prepared for the US administration confirmed the findings.

One official stated that “Iran retains about 75 percent of its prewar inventories of mobile launchers and about 70 percent of its prewar stockpiles of missiles.”

According to the report, CIA analysts also believe that Iran has managed to regain access to several underground storage facilities damaged during the US strikes, repair some of the affected missiles, and continue manufacturing new ones.

The Washington Post estimated that before the military operations launched by the US and Israel, Iran possessed roughly 2,500 ballistic missiles along with “thousands more” unarmed drones.
