Israeli media reports indicate that at least 17 locations in and around Tel Aviv were damaged following an Iranian missile strike on Wednesday, as Tehran launched a new wave of attacks against Israel.

Reports said at least 29 people were injured in the city of Bnei Brak, east of Tel Aviv, including one person described as being in a serious condition, The Caspian Post reports, citing foreign media.

Iranian state television said the latest barrage marked the third round of missile launches within a single hour, signalling a rapid escalation in the pace of attacks.

Israeli media reported that some of the missiles used were equipped with cluster-type munitions, with fragments striking multiple buildings in the Tel Aviv area and causing widespread damage.

Explosions were heard across the densely populated Gush Dan region, while air raid sirens sounded across large parts of Israel, from the Galilee in the north to the Negev in the south, amid continued missile launches targeting Tel Aviv and southern areas.

Israeli outlets also reported that the attacks coincided with drone activity from Lebanon, suggesting the possibility of simultaneous pressure on multiple fronts.

The latest developments follow similar incidents reported a day earlier, when missiles launched from Iran were said to have caused damage and casualties in central Israel.

Separately, Israel’s health authorities said a total of 6,638 people have been admitted to hospitals since the start of the war with Iran on 28 February, up to midnight on 31 March.

The ongoing escalation comes amid continued regional tensions, with exchanges between Iran and Israel intensifying alongside broader developments involving armed groups in Lebanon, raising concerns over a widening conflict.
