Israel asserts that its military destroyed an underground bunker in Tehran, which is said to have belonged to the late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The operation involved 50 jets and 100 bombs, targeting what Israel described as a secure emergency asset for the leader and later used by senior Iranian officials, The Caspian Post reports, citing foreign media.

The Israeli military stated the bunker was built beneath a compound and was intended for war management by Khamenei, who was 'eliminated' before he could use it.
