Iran’s Defense Minister and IRGC chief were killed in Israeli strikes on February 28 morning.
Mohammad Pakpour, commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and Defense Minister Amir Nasirzadeh were killed during Israeli attacks on Iranian territory, The Caspian Post reports via foreign media.
Earlier, Israeli officials had assessed that Pakpour, Nasirzadeh and the head of Iranian intelligence were likely eliminated in the strikes.
The morning attacks reportedly targeted several senior figures within Iran’s political and military leadership, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and President Masoud Pezeshkian.
