Ahmad Ahmadi, head of the Iranian Mahabad Customs Administration has announced that goods worth $10.3 million were exported through Mahabad Customs in West Azerbaijan Province, located in northwestern Iran in the first three months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21 - June 21, 2025).
Ahmadi noted that 90 per cent of the goods exported through Mahabad during this period were shipped to Iraq, with the remaining 10 per cent - to other neighboring countries, The Caspian Post reports via local media.
The main export items were petrochemical products and traditional carpets, reflecting the region’s industrial and cultural strengths.
