Passenger air traffic between Iran and Pakistan has resumed following a two-month suspension triggered by US-Israeli strikes on Iran.
A Mahan Air aircraft operating flight W51185 departed Tehran on 30 April and landed in Islamabad on Thursday, marking the first commercial passenger service on the route since flights were halted on 26 February, The Caspian Post reports, citing Pakistani media.
With the resumption, both outbound and return services between the two countries are now back in operation.
Pakistani officials also confirmed that another Mahan Air flight arrived in Karachi from Tehran on 29 April. The Islamabad arrival represents the first passenger flight to the capital since the suspension.
The next Mahan Air flight on the Tehran-Islamabad route is scheduled for 7 May, signaling a gradual return to normal air travel between the two cities.
