Iranian missile and drone attacks forced US troops to leave the major Camp Buehring military base in Kuwait during the first days of the war.
Footage released by the network shows damage to buildings and military equipment at the base. US forces came under attacks involving ballistic missiles and drones. Three service members also said Iran used F-5 fighter jets during the attacks, CBS News reports.
New videos obtained exclusively by CBS News show Iranian attacks on a major U.S. military base in Kuwait as the war with Iran kicked off seven months ago. The footage was recorded by a person stationed at Camp Buehring and captures the moments of impact and the aftermath. U.S. Central Command declined to comment and the Pentagon pointed back to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's comments on March 4 regarding the removal of U.S. troops.

US troops defending the base faced shortages of .50-caliber ammunition. An Army logistics official confirmed supply problems, including a shortage of missiles for Patriot air defense systems.
Most of the approximately 7,000 troops stationed at the base had been transferred elsewhere before the war began. The remaining force of more than 100 personnel eventually withdrew into the desert, where they established forward positions.
No US service members were killed in the attacks.
