The White House is intensifying efforts to persuade Middle Eastern nations to join potential strikes against Iran, amid rising regional tensions.
As the conflict escalates, Washington is reportedly reaching out to countries that have been directly affected by the latest developments, urging them to take a more active role. However, Gulf states are said to expressing hope for swift de-escalation and a conclusion to the military operation rather than deeper involvement, The Caspian Post reports via foreign media.
For now, countries in the Persian Gulf are maintaining a cautious stance. Despite being broadly aligned with the United States and Israel, they remain reluctant to openly commit to direct military action.
“Gulf countries are still in a wait-and-see mode, even though they are clearly on the side of America and Israel. The question is whether they can overcome their fear and realize that they must defend their sovereignty,” a source within the Israeli government said.
