An Aeroflot passenger plane flying from Türkiye to Russia made an emergency landing at Kazakhstan's Atyrau Airport after a passenger’s health suddenly deteriorated.
According to preliminary information, the passenger became seriously ill during the flight. The crew decided to make an emergency landing in Atyrau because of the worsening condition, NUR.KZ reports.
After the aircraft landed, the passenger died.
Kazakhstan’s Transport Police confirmed that the incident occurred on August 25 and was registered at the transport police department at Atyrau station.
Authorities are currently carrying out initial investigative measures to establish all the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The preliminary cause of death is acute heart failure, according to the Transport Police.
