A touching moment stole the show at the grand finale of the first Asian vocal mega-project Silk Way Star in Kazakhstan's Astana city.
Samira Efendi, jury member from Azerbaijan, awarded a contestant the maximum score of 12 points, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.
“Let friendship prevail throughout the world. I’m giving you the highest score - 12!” she declared.
In response, Saro Gevorgyan crossed the stage to embrace Samira Efendi, as the artists exchanged warm words, creating an atmosphere of mutual respect and support.
The heartfelt interaction comes amid a broader context of peace-building in the region. In August 2025, Azerbaijan and Armenia signed a declaration to end military confrontation. Recently, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan noted that peace between the two countries is being strengthened under the Almaty Declaration, expressing gratitude to Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for his support.
