Leading Azerbaijani ICT company Azerconnect Group has taken part in the Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan Business Forum, held at the Astana International Financial Centre, bringing together officials from both countries and representatives of 155 companies across ICT, high technology, energy, construction, investment, and logistics sectors.
During his address, Ilgar Nahmedov, Deputy CEO of Azerconnect Group, highlighted Azerbaijan’s major digital initiatives aimed at developing the digital economy, building an artificial intelligence (AI) ecosystem, and promoting innovation, The Caspian Post reports via local media.
He spoke in detail about the company’s work in driving digital transformation and implementing AI-powered solutions.
Nahmedov also emphasized the strategic importance of the Trans-Caspian Fiber-Optic Cable Line, a joint project between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan under the “Digital Silk Road” initiative, which aims to enhance regional connectivity and digital infrastructure.
The business forum, themed “Economic Cooperation Amid the Development of Artificial Intelligence and Industrial Initiatives,” was supported by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy and jointly organized by AZPROMO and Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Trade and Integration.
