Bus Overturns in Kazakhstan, Killing Two Uzbek Citizens

A deadly road accident has occurred in Kazakhstan’s Aktobe region, where a passenger bus traveling the Perm-Tashkent route veered off the highway and overturned.

The crash happened on the 1028th kilometer of a national roadway in Aiteke Bi district. According to preliminary data, 49 passengers were on board. Five people were killed, including two citizens of Uzbekistan, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations has set up a special task group to coordinate the return of the victims’ bodies, assist their families, and support funeral arrangements. Officials noted that Uzbek rescuers remain in close contact with their Kazakh counterparts.

Joint efforts are underway to clarify the causes of the accident, verify information about the injured, and carry out all necessary procedures. The investigation is ongoing.
