Flu Cases Surge Across Kazakhstan’s Kostanay Region

Flu cases are rapidly rising across Kazakhstan's Kostanay region.

Health officials registered 17,228 acute respiratory viral infections in just one week - 1.6 times more than the previous week, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

Children under 14 account for more than 65 per cent of all cases, with over 11,000 infections recorded.

Authorities also confirmed 75 flu cases, prompting all schools in the region to switch to online learning. Earlier, experts warned that the H3N2 strain is now dominant in Kazakhstan, raising concerns about further spread.
