Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has begun an official visit to Kazakhstan, where he is scheduled to hold high-level talks aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and expanding ties across multiple sectors.

Kobakhidze will be formally welcomed by Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the Palace of Independence. The sides are expected to hold both one-on-one and expanded-format discussions, The Caspian Post reports via sovanews.

Following the talks, Georgia and Kazakhstan are set to sign a series of cooperation memorandums covering various fields.

During the visit, Kobakhidze will also meet with Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov. The negotiations will include members of both governments and focus on enhancing political, economic, and regional cooperation.

The Georgian delegation includes Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili, Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture David Songulashvili, and Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
