Yerbol Khamitov, Kazakhstan’s Paralympic champion, will receive a two-room apartment in Astana following his stellar performance at the 2026 Winter Paralympics in Italy.
Khamitov brought Kazakhstan its first gold medal of the tournament on March 13 by winning the biathlon sprint pursuit. He also secured a bronze medal in the 1,500-meter classic sprint in para cross-country skiing, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
This is not the first valuable reward for the Paralympic star. Earlier, Astana Motors founder and prominent Kazakh businessman Nurlan Smagulov gifted Khamitov a Chery Tiggo 7 car to honor his outstanding international achievements.
