An incident has occurred at Kazakhstan’s Kapshagay Reservoir when a passenger car broke through the ice and ended up in the freezing water.

Two women were inside the vehicle at the time. Emergency rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the scene, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

Rescuers secured safe access to the car, used specialized ice-rescue equipment, and evacuated both women to the shore. They received prompt medical assistance on-site.
