A Kazakh National Guard conscript has died in Shymkent, Kazakhstan.
The soldier, drafted from Zhambyl Region, served at military unit 6506, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
On January 6, he suffered a sudden cardiac arrest. Despite emergency resuscitation efforts, he passed away in a city hospital. The preliminary diagnosis was acute leukemia.
During his service, the soldier had sought medical care and was under observation, undergoing examinations at medical facilities in Shymkent.
The Military Investigative Department has opened a criminal case into the circumstances surrounding his death.
