Kazakh Leader Joins Welcoming Ceremony at UN Landlocked Countries Conference in Turkmenistan

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived at the Awaza Congress Center in Turkmenistan to take part in the official welcoming ceremony for heads of delegations attending the 3rd United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.

At the ceremony, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty (People’s Council) of Turkmenistan, extended a warm welcome to President Tokayev, The Caspian Post reports per Kazakh media.

The conference, which aims to address the unique challenges and development opportunities facing landlocked nations, is scheduled to run in Turkmenistan from August 5 to August 8.

Earlier reports confirmed President Tokayev’s arrival in Turkmenistan to participate in this significant international event focused on fostering cooperation and sustainable development among landlocked developing countries.
