Kazakh President Arrives in Azerbaijan's Gabala for Organization of Turkic States' Summit

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has arrived in the city of Gabala, Azerbaijan, to take part in the summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).

Upon his arrival at Gabala International Airport, President Tokayev was welcomed with full honors. A ceremonial honor guard was assembled in recognition of the high-level guest. He was welcomed by Azerbaijan’s Minister of Science and Education, Emin Amrullayev, as well as other senior Azerbaijani officials, The Caspian Post reports via local media.

The 12th Summit of the OTS has brought together heads of state and high-level delegations from member and observer countries. The summit serves as a key platform for deepening political, economic, cultural, and security cooperation among Turkic-speaking nations.

Founded in 2009, the OTS includes Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan as full members, with Hungary, Turkmenistan, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus holding observer status. This year’s summit focuses on strengthening unity among Turkic nations, enhancing regional connectivity, and advancing joint initiatives in trade, technology, and cultural exchange.
