Kazakhstan is stepping into the global spotlight as the filming location for the highly anticipated fourth installment of Jackie Chan’s iconic “Armour of God” franchise.
The iconic “Armour of God” franchise starring Jackie Chan is set to make a grand comeback, with the production of its fourth installment, “Armour of God: Ultimatum,” officially confirmed by Sәlem Entertainment, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.
At the recent Digital Bridge 2025 forum, Igor Tsai, CEO of Sәlem Entertainment, announced to the president of Kazakhstan that the upcoming Jackie Chan movie will be filmed locally, underscoring Kazakhstan’s growing prominence as a major filming destination.
The “Armour of God” series first premiered in 1986 with the original action-adventure directed by Jackie Chan himself. The franchise continued to captivate audiences with sequels “Operation Condor” (1991) and “Chinese Zodiac” (2012), establishing itself as one of Asia’s most beloved adventure sagas.
Jackie Chan has been recently seen in Almaty, where he participated in a series of meetings related to the new film project, fueling excitement for the upcoming release among fans and industry insiders alike.
