President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will pay a working visit to the United States on February 18-19 at the invitation of US President Donald Trump.
The visit centers on Tokayev’s participation in the inaugural sitting of the Board of Peace, a newly established international platform aimed at addressing pressing global security challenges, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
Focus on Gaza Stabilization
The summit is expected to prioritize stabilizing the situation in Gaza and outlining practical steps to ensure long-term peace, security, and sustainable humanitarian support in the region. Leaders are set to discuss coordinated international efforts to prevent further escalation and strengthen diplomatic mechanisms.
Kazakhstan joined the Board of Peace in January, signaling Astana’s intent to play a more active role in global conflict resolution and multilateral diplomacy.
Business Engagement on the Agenda
Beyond the summit, President Tokayev is scheduled to hold a series of meetings with executives from major American companies. The talks are expected to focus on expanding investment cooperation, strengthening economic ties, and exploring new opportunities in energy, technology, and infrastructure.
