Pupils from Kazakh city schools have delivered an impressive performance at the STEAM Azerbaijan SAF-2025 international festival, taking home several top awards.

In the VEX IQ category, Kazakh 5th and 7th graders secured first and third place, while 9th graders earned bronze in the FlyTech & RoboSoccer competition - highlighting the growing strength of Kazakhstan’s young tech talent, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.

The festival, held in Baku, gathered thousands of young innovators from 22 countries, competing across 16 main and two additional categories. The event has become one of the region’s largest platforms for robotics, engineering, and tech-driven creativity.

Launched in 2021, the STEAM Azerbaijan International Festival is organized by the “STEAM Azerbaijan” project with the support of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Science and Education. Its mission is to promote STEAM-based education and ignite interest in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics among youth.

Kazakhstan’s success in Baku adds to a year of major achievements. Notably, Team Kazakhstan recently claimed first place at the FIRST Global Challenge (FGC) 2025 in Panama City - marking their fourth consecutive world title in the prestigious international robotics competition.

Kazakhstan’s young innovators continue cementing their place among the world’s leading STEAM talents.
