Construction has started on a state-of-the-art greenhouse complex in Kazakhstan's Karatau district, valued at 69 billion tenge ($137.214 million).
The project is led and primarily funded by Polish company Fabe-Agro, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
Spanning 144 hectares, the facility will grow vegetables, melons, root crops, and tubers, with modern engineering infrastructure currently being installed. Once fully operational, it will produce up to 36,000 tons of vegetables annually.
The project is expected to be completed by 2028, contributing to Kazakhstan’s broader push to launch over 40 industrial projects by year-end.
