Kazakhstan has brought back four citizens suspected of terrorism-related crimes from abroad in a special operation coordinated by the country’s National Security Committee.
The suspects were extradited to Kazakhstan under special forces' escort on May 7 and May 12 after spending a long period hiding outside the country, The Caspian Post reports via Kazinform.
The individuals had been placed on an international wanted list and were detained abroad based on the National Security Committee's alerts.
The Kazakh National Security Committee is now carrying out investigative procedures against the suspects as part of ongoing criminal terrorism cases.
