Kazakhstan is looking to strengthen trade, economic, and investment ties with Jiangsu, one of China’s largest and most economically advanced provinces, as both sides seek to expand cooperation across key sectors.
The prospects for closer collaboration were discussed during talks between Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister Nurlybek Nalibayev and Jiangsu Party Secretary Xin Changxing, who arrived in Kazakhstan on his first official visit, The Caspian Post reports via SteppeNews.kz.
The two sides reviewed the implementation of joint investment projects and explored ways to boost interregional cooperation. Discussions focused on industrial partnerships, the digital economy, logistics, and attracting new investment opportunities.
Chinese representatives highlighted Kazakhstan’s growing importance as a major transit hub on the China-Europe transport corridor and expressed interest in expanding direct business-to-business contacts.
The role of the Central Asia-Jiangsu Center, recently opened in Astana, which is expected to strengthen technological exchange and investment cooperation between Kazakhstan and Jiangsu, was also emphasized.
