Following a tragic road accident near Bogetsay village that claimed 12 lives, Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov ordered a government commission to investigate the causes of the accident and support victims’ families.
Chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbayev, the team includes top officials from multiple ministries and regional authorities, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.
Early reports indicate a truck veered into the opposite lane, causing the fatal crash involving a passenger GAZelle van. The Samara-Shymkent highway, where the accident occurred, has seen dozens of crashes this year, highlighting ongoing road safety challenges in Kazakhstan. Authorities are working swiftly to uncover all details and prevent future tragedies.
