Kazakhstan, Netherlands Deepen Ties in Trade, Tech, and Green Innovation

Kazakh Deputy Foreign Minister Arman Issetov has held a meeting with Dutch Ambassador to Kazakhstan Nico Schermers to discuss expanding cooperation across a range of strategic areas.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the current state and future prospects of bilateral relations, with a focus on deepening trade, economic, and investment ties, The Caspian Post reports per Kazakh media.

Discussions also covered joint efforts to boost the agro-industrial sector, adopt advanced technologies and innovations, and promote closer business-to-business collaboration between Kazakhstan and the Netherlands.

Issetov emphasized the Netherlands’ longstanding role as Kazakhstan’s largest European investor and a key partner in implementing major projects. He also highlighted the importance of the annual meetings of the Kazakhstan-Netherlands Business Association in fostering dialogue and building commercial links between entrepreneurs from both countries.

Schermers commended the strong level of bilateral cooperation and reiterated the Netherlands' interest in developing joint projects in sustainable agriculture, energy, science, education, and green technology.

Both parties expressed their mutual commitment to further expanding their partnership, maintaining dynamic political dialogue, and continuing joint efforts on international platforms.
