Following the deadly blast at the Kazzinc plant in Oskemen, Kazakhstan, the company has announced extensive financial support measures for the families of workers who lost their lives.
Relatives of the two deceased employees will receive compensation equivalent to 10 years of their salaries. The company also confirmed that all funeral expenses will be fully covered, The Caspian Post reports via Kazinform.
The victims have been identified as Olzhas Ramazanov and Yerzhan Kamaliyev.
Kazzinc additionally pledged long-term assistance for the affected families, including full coverage of higher education costs for the children of the deceased workers.
Support measures have also been extended to injured employees. The company stated that all medical treatment and medication costs will be fully covered, and workers will continue to receive their full salaries during recovery.
The explosion occurred on the morning of May 5 and resulted in two deaths and five injuries. A workshop collapse followed the blast, with dozens of employees present in the affected area at the time.
Emergency services and environmental specialists are continuing investigations, including air quality monitoring, while authorities work to determine the exact cause of the incident.
