Kazakhstan’s MansapTeam Debuts at Harvard Model Congress

Kazakhstan’s national school team, MansapTeam, has made its debut at the prestigious Harvard Model Congress (HMC) in San Francisco.

The team impressed at the international leadership conference, with member Mariya Novosad winning the Outstanding Speech award after triumphing in the essay competition and delivering the closing address for all delegates, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

The HMC, run by Harvard students for over 40 years, is one of the world’s largest political simulations for high school students, offering English-language debates, workshops, and opportunities to simulate the workings of the US Congress and international organizations.

Prior to attending, the Kazakh students underwent selection and training through the HMCKazakhstan program in Astana last summer. This marks another milestone for Team Kazakhstan, which recently claimed all eight medals at the KhIMIO International Mathematics and Informatics Olympiad in Dushanbe.
