Kazakhstan’s QAZAQ AIR, operating under the brand VietJet Qazaqstan, has announced the extension of its popular Turkistan-Samarkand-Turkistan route until October 25, 2025, in response to strong and consistent passenger demand.
Beginning September 1, flights on this route will follow a revised schedule, with departures from Turkistan every Friday and Sunday at 12:45 p.m. (GMT+5), arriving in Samarkand at 2:15 p.m., The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazakh media.
The return leg will depart Samarkand at 3:05 p.m. landing back in Turkistan at 4:30 p.m. One-way fares start at just 14,000 tenge ($0.026).
For travelers from Astana, QAZAQ AIR is also offering convenient transit options. Passengers can depart from the capital at 9:30 a.m., connect in Turkistan, and arrive in Samarkand by 2:15 p.m. The return journey from Samarkand departs at 3:05 p.m., arriving in Astana at 7:20 p.m. Prices for this route begin at 41,000 tenge ($0.076).
The airline emphasized that the route continues to attract strong interest from both Kazakh and Uzbek travelers, driven by increasing cross-border travel for tourism, family visits, and business.
The extension of this service aligns with QAZAQ AIR’s broader mission to enhance regional connectivity and foster closer cultural, tourism, and economic ties between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
