Kazakhstan’s SCAT Airlines Opens Direct Route to Belarus

The Kazakh Transport Ministry has announced that SCAT Airlines began operating direct passenger flights between Almaty and Minsk, Belarus offering service twice a week on Wednesdays and Sundays.

At present, air connectivity between Kazakhstan and Belarus is served by Belavia, the Belarusian national airline, which runs four weekly flights from Astana to Minsk, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

With SCAT's new route, the total number of scheduled weekly flights between the two countries will rise to six, marking a significant step in strengthening bilateral connectivity.

Officials expect the additional air service to facilitate increased tourism, promote trade and investment, and deepen business ties between Kazakhstan and Belarus.
