Kazakhstan’s government is set to convene its regular meeting on January 13 at 10:00 a.m., with a strong focus on the country’s water future.
Ministers are expected to discuss measures to develop water supply and drainage systems, the introduction of water-saving technologies, and the expansion of digital solutions in the sector, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
These issues are gaining urgency amid growing demand for efficient water management across the country.
Following the meeting, a press conference will be held with Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Nurzhan Nurzhigitov and Vice Minister of Industry and Construction Kuandyk Kazhkenov, who are expected to outline key decisions and next steps.
Earlier, the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation announced plans to complete the development of a national water resources information system by the end of 2025, marking a major step toward digital management of Kazakhstan’s water assets.
