Kazakhstan plans to introduce a monitoring system for citizens travelling abroad for work as part of efforts to prevent labour exploitation and human trafficking.
The initiative was announced by the government, according to Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The new registration and monitoring mechanism is scheduled to be introduced in the second quarter of 2027.
As part of the initiative, Kazakhstan's Interior Ministry and Foreign Ministry will also inspect private employment agencies and monitor online advertisements that could facilitate human trafficking.
Authorities may restrict access to suspicious publications through the Cybernadzor system or by court order.
Another measure will focus on training employees of schools, hospitals and social services to identify cases involving the trafficking of newborns and illegal adoption.
Victims of human trafficking and exploitation will receive assistance at crisis centres.
